Kodama Desk is a dynamic work desk composed of 14 pieces of 18mm plywood, designed to be assembled without any hardware or tools. Conceived digitally and cut with a CNC machine, its components fit together with extreme precision, ensuring a clean finish and effortless construction.
This design approach emphasizes sustainable and flexible manufacturing: by simplifying the production process, Kodama reduces shipping distances, minimizes logistical requirements, and lowers environmental impact. Its adaptability also allows for localized fabrication, enabling production by multiple manufacturers worldwide.
In recognition of its innovative approach, Kodama was nominated in 2015 by the General Department of Foreign Trade of Buenos Aires and UNESCO’s Creative Cities Network to represent the city in the SZ DAY Shenzhen Design Award for Young Talents in Shenzhen, China.
